450SX Class Stats: Seattle

- The first race was held on February 18, 1978, and Jimmy Ellis won on a Honda; it was his first and only win on a Honda
- This will be the 42nd time the gate will drop in Seattle for a 450SX Class race and the ninth race at CenturyLink Field
- From 1978-1999, the race was held in the old Seattle King Dome
- In 1984 during a double-header race in Seattle, Jeff Ward and Rick Johnson each won the first 450SX Class races of their career
- From 1979-1989, the King Dome hosted double-header races
- Riders to sweep double headers at the King Dome: Mike Bell: ‘80; Darrel Shultz: '81; Bob Hannah: '83; Ron Lechien: '85; Rick Johnson: '87 & '89
- Larry Ward won the first 450SX Class race of his career in Seattle in 1990 on a Suzuki. Nine years later, he won the last 450SX Class race of his career in Seattle on a Suzuki. That would be the last race held in the King Dome.

- Andrew Short won last year’s Main Event in Seattle, marking the first win of his career
- Short became the fifth different winner of the 2012 season
- After clinching his second championship, Ryan Villopoto crashed at last year’s race in Seattle, tearing his ACL and missing the final two races of the championship
- As a 250SX Class rider last year, Ken Roczen raced the 450SX Class and earned the first podium of his career with a second-place finish
- Jake Weimer finished on the podium last year with a third; he has yet to make a podium appearance this year

450SX Class: Minneapolis Recap

- Ryan Dungey earned the 13th 450SX Class victory of his career
- It was Dungey’s sixth victory on a KTM
- Dungey’s win stopped Ryan Villopoto’s five-race win streak
- Dungey’s gave KTM their first-ever win in Minneapolis
- With Dungey’s teammate Marvin Musquin winning the 250SX Class, KTM now has two event sweeps and is the only brand to accomplish this in 2013
- Villopoto earned his 11th podium of the season with his runner-up finish; it was his third runner-up
- Davi Millsaps earned his ninth podium of the season with a third-place finish
- Justin Barcia earned his seventh top-five finish with a fourth
- Chad Reed made his 161st career 450SX Class start, is now fifth on the all-time 450SX Class starts list. He earned a fourth place giving him his tenth top-five finish of the year.
- Short tied his season-best finish of sixth place. He now has 12 top-10 finishes this year.

250SX Class Stats: Seattle

- The first race was held on February 9,1985, and Mike Healey would win on a Suzuki
- This will be the 29th time the gate will drop for a 250SX Class race in Seattle
- Ryan Villopoto gave Kawasaki their last win in Seattle in 2007
- Ryan Sipes won the third race of his career aboard a Yamaha last year
- For the first time since 2002, every brand of motorcycle competing in Monster Energy Supercross won a Main Event
- Ken Roczen leads defending 250SX Class Champion Eli Tomac by 17 points and is racing for the first 250SX Class Championship of his career
