Matt Goerke felt strong all day as he attacked the track and qualified a solid 11th in the field. With the Pirelli Scorpion MX tires grabbing traction, Matt would have a great hear race start in 4th place. He would go down a few laps later, but would get back up to make a few key passes to grab 8th and a spot in the main. In the main, another solid start would put Matt up inside the top ten. He would ride strong all race to take 8th and another top ten for the BTO Sports – KTM team. Matt leaves Arlington 10th in points.
Les Smith continues to gain confidence on the BTO Sports – KTM 450SX-F. He would look good on the Arlington track and qualify 21st. Les would not get the best start in the heat race and could not recover, finishing 11th. In the LCQ, Les had a good start, but could not get close enough to battle for the final transfer spot, finishing in 4th.
“I’m very happy with how Matt rode tonight” said team manager Forrest Butler. “He is riding aggressive and that’s what we need to be inside the top ten every weekend.”
